ORGANIZATIONAL HISTORY

The ANDELE team initially began providing services to families, parents and their children in Albuquerque in 2002, in a pilot parent training and summer tutoring program that confirmed the import of parent involvement and support in raising student skills and motivation. Since that time the ANDELE team has guided and coached teen parents to complete high school and enroll in post secondary educational programs, trained high school students and interns to develop new health career multimedia guides for guidance counselors to use with high school students, as well as designed and managed free tutoring programs for under served populations in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas under the No Child Left Behind federal program. Andele Tutors Inc, was formally incorporated as a New Mexico non profit educational company in 2009 and received IRS 501(c)(3) certification in 2010.

Over the course of the past ten years, Andele has provided tutoring, educational enrichment services and innovative support systems to raise the skills and quality of life of under-served families in the communities in central and southern New Mexico and El Paso County.
